"At the foot of the Himalayas, Chitwan is one of the few remaining undisturbed vestiges of the 'Terai' region, which formerly extended over the foothills of India and Nepal. It has a particularly rich flora and fauna. One of the last populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros lives in the park, which is also one of the last refuges of the Bengal tiger." Whitewater Rafting & Chitwan National Park Extension
whitewater rafting Nepal is one of the best destination for white water rafting. The rivers in Nepal range from steep and swift to the classic high volume rafting expedition. While some rivers are technical during high water, others are gently adventurous. Rafting down the Trisuli river is however a mild rafting adventure and no previous experience is required. From a scale of 1 to 6 (6 being suicidal for the inexperienced), the Trisuli rapids are in the 1 to 3 range. Most Trisuli rapids are non-technical and are spread well apart. In between the rapids you will enjoy the subtropical canyons full of resident and migratory birds. At the end of the day, camping is on white sandy beaches. After camp is setup, you will also have enough time to explore the local villages.

elephant safari Chitwan National Park offers one of the best wildlife experiences in Asia. Formed in 1973, this park is home to a diverse population of animal species some of which include the One Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Indian Bison, four species of deer, two species of crocodiles and over 450 species of birds. Elephant back safari is the highlight of the visit to this park. These gentle giants will take you deep into the jungle in search of all the elusive animals in the park. You will appreciate exploring the jungle on an elephant back because the jungle may seem much closer and bigger when your trained naturalist takes you out on a jungle walk. Other programs include canoe ride, bird watching tour, jungle walk, and village tour.
