""Annapurna is a section of the Himalayas in north-central Nepal that includes 8,091 m Annapurna I, 13 additional peaks over 7,000 m and 16 more over 6,000 m. This section is a 34 mile long massif bounded by the Kali Gandaki Gorge on the west, the Marshyangdi River on the north and east, and Pokhara Valley on the south. The entire massif and surrounding area are protected within the 4,740 sq mile Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), the first and largest conservation area in Nepal. ACAP is home to several world-class treks, including the Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base Camp." Wikipedia

Annapurna Circuit - Trekking in Nepal
17 days in Nepal

Annapurna Adventure Annapurna Circuit Trekking is one of the great walks in Nepal as it passes through a variety of Himalayan environments. The trek begins in the lush Marsyangdi Valley, home to the Hindu farming families of Brahmin, Chhetri and Gurung tribes, and enters the dry, arid Tibet like region of Manang inhabited by Buddhist Manangis of Tibetan origin. It also reveals some of the most beautiful mountains like Annapurna II (7,937m), Gangapurna (7,485m) and Tilicho Peak (7,134m). This trip provides the experience of both the scenic and ethnic diversity of Nepal with the added excitement of crossing the Thorung La Pass (5,416m). Then to visit the holy shrine at the Temple of Muktinath and the Buddhist nunery before descending to the Kali Gandaki river valley

GRADE D (Strenuous): Annapurna Circuit kagbeni annapurna Trekking is 11 days of strenuous trekking at high elevation (max. 5,416m). 12 nights at teahouse lodges and 4 nights hotel. This trek requires that you are in good physical condition and have previous trekking experience. The more fit you are, the more you will enjoy this trek

Altitude Sickness (Acute Mountain Sickness)
There is a real threat of altitude sickness on this trek. Even though Discover Nepal treks are carefully planned to allow altitude acclimatization, it is impossible for our trek leaders to determine who may be affected by it. We suggest you check with your physician for more information on your health before leaving for this trek.
