Ghorepani Poon Hill - Trekking in Nepal, Rafting, & Wildlife Safari

This popular trek to Ghorepani is a great introduction to trekking in Nepal. It leads you through friendly villages located within the mid-hills of Nepal. The view from Poon Hill (3210 m) is the highlight of the trek. The mountain panaroma stretches from Dhaulagiri in the west to the Fishtail and Annapurna range to the east. The trekking is followed by some exciting whitewater rafting on the Trisuli river combined with a trip to the famous Chitwan National Park. The variety of game supported by the park are One Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Monitor Lizard, four kinds of deer, two types of crocodiles and over 450 species of birds. This package offers you with a wonderful opportunity of trekking in Nepal, whitewater river rafting, and jungle safari all at a relaxed pace.
GRADE B (Moderate):
6 days of moderate trekking on uneven terrain (max. elevation 3210m). Whitewater rafting, elephant safari, canoe ride and nature walk. 5 nights tea-house accommodation - 1 night camping - 2 nights Jungle Lodge - 6 nights hotel. This trip involves long walks at low to medium altitude and should be within the capabilities of those who lead a more than average active life.
Altitude Sickness (Acute Mountain Sickness)
This package involves a low to medium elevation trekking in Nepal and there is a very slim risk of altitude sickness. Rafting down the Trisuli is also a mild river adventure and no previous experience is required. Participants are required to paddle during the rafting trip. Safari tours in Chitwan are mild involving short walk in the jungle.
