""Annapurna is a section of the Himalayas in north-central Nepal that includes 8,091 m Annapurna I, 13 additional peaks over
7,000 m and 16 more over 6,000 m. This section is a 34 mile long massif bounded by the Kali Gandaki Gorge on the
west, the Marshyangdi River on the north and east, and Pokhara Valley on the south. The entire massif and surrounding area are protected within
the 4,740 sq mile Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), the first and largest conservation area in Nepal. ACAP is home to several

Annapurna Base Camp (Sanctuary) - Trekking in Nepal
15 days in Nepal
Trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp is one of the best trekking experience in Nepal. The Annapurna Base Camp is a mountain ringed glacier basin in the heart of the Annapurna Range, surrounded by famous Himalayan peaks such as Hiunchuli (6,441m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Varaha Shikhar (7,847m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Gangapurna (7,485m), Annapurna III (7,855m) and the 'fishtail' spire of Machhapuchhre (6,993m). The only approach follows the Modi Khola valley passing through a variety of environments, from steeply terraced lowland villages, through forests of bamboo, rhododendron and oak, and finally up to the glaciers and high mountains. This is one of the most beautiful short treks in Nepal that offer scenery from subtropical farmland to snow covered glaciers
GRADE C (Moderate to Strenuous):
Annapurna Base Camp is 10 days of moderate to strenuous trekking at medium elevation (max. 4,095m) - 9 nights camping - 5 nights hotel. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is for the more serious adventurer and requires a higher level of physical fitness and stamina. The more fit you are, the more you will enjoy the trek
